Johnny's birthday was so much fun! We had a small group of friends and their kids over and enjoyed some delicious Papa Johns and ice cream cake and it was great fun! We loved getting to see all who came and wished more of our friends and family who are further away could have been here!
I made Johnny this awesome onesie with my friend Amber and he was adorable. Here he is entertaining Mark before the party started :)
Rach and Johnny, with Jake lurking in the background!
Raghu was very helpful with present-opening! In the background you can see his wife Laura, Richelle and Tessa, and Amber's husband Daniel
Birthday boy getting ready!
Ice cream cupcake = big hit!
Can you tell he loved it?
We got ice cream cupcakes for the kids and a small ice cream cake for the adults too!
He needed a little help because it was so cold :)
He was pretty excited to open his presents!
I think he likes it!
We had some trouble getting a happy group shot... mostly because the birthday boy did NOT like his hat....
Getting ready... 4 happy kiddos! (Note that there are only 3 with hats so far...)
Tessa really is very gentle... Johnny squirmed and that's how this position happened--she's not really whacking him :)
Lincoln is really excited! Johnny, not so much
Now Easton is pretty excited and Lincoln is taking off! Tessa was the calm one, Johnny remains a bit fussy about the hat
Happiest shot!
Unhappiest Johnny :( So sad, but so funny at the same time!
I made this birthday banner to celebrate my boy
I love this elephant--so cute!
This banner is all pictures of our dear Johnny at each month with his lion so you can see how much bigger he gets :)
I also love this giraffe!
Johnny enjoyed all his new toys!
Ok, Johnny's birthday was awesome. Shortly after, we went down to Thanksgiving Point and met up with the Barlows for some animal fun! We saw lots of fun farm animals and the kids had a good time. :)
Johnny enjoyed being in the carrier and holding onto everything he could reach!
This baby goat was so tiny!
It was just a BIT windy!
Johnny holding on again
We thought this sign was awesome. What's better than a biting horse at a petting zoo/farm for kids?
My happy baby
Watching bunnies
Collin and Christian are such great big brothers! They love Baby Johnny so much and ooh and ah over him so sweetly! You can even see in this pic where Johnny is smiling and Christian is just sweetly looking at him... Brooke and Jesh are definitely doing something right with these sweet boys!
Johnny's enjoying our ride in the tractor, and Christian is showing me how to ride a motorcycle maybe?
Johnny thinks this is great!
After the farm we went to the Thanksgiving Point gardens, which are pretty impressive! We went the first week of May and the tulip festival had ended the weekend prior, so there were still a TON of tulips, but not quite as many as the week before. We were still pretty impressed. These gardens are massive!
My boys
A sampling of some of the beautiful flowers
How beautiful is this gazebo?
Happy baby
He really wanted to get IN the fountain!
He also loved touching the dirt and flowers!
Impressive waterfalls
Here are a few randoms:
Johnny in his awesome new Superman shirt from my Aunt Mary Kay, with his new baseball frame from her!

Enjoying some yogurt--he doesn't get why he doesn't get to feed himself every meal
Bob's bike with Johnny's new seat on it! This is by far the best birthday present he could have received--they ride almost every day and he LOVES it!
He also loves the bike!
Ready to ride!
Feeling sleepy with Daddy!
This is a frequent occurrence, both because there's always laundry to do, but also because he LOVES to watch the washer go!
My friend Amber and her little boy Levi and I went for a hike on the East side of Salt Lake, near the U, by Red Butte Gardens. It's called the Living Room hike, and it was great, although it took quite a bit longer than we expected and was way hotter! The boys did pretty well and both napped well, amazingly, so those were definitely pluses!
Here we are getting started--can't quite see Johnny
Enjoying his bottle and the view!
Impressive views of the valley
This is the Living Room--Johnny's in a comfy armchair
Such a cute little man!
Proud to be an American, and proud of his bink
Another lovely view
Johnny and I enjoying the Living Room!
Ok, still lots to get caught up on, but getting closer!
