9 Months

Ok, I'm finally caught up! Johnny is 9 months and it's CRAZY that he's so big! He definitely is showing us more each day that he's his own person and really knows what he wants to do, but he's still so sweet and we love him so much!

Deep thoughts with Johnny

This was the end of the 9 month photo shoot and he's yelling to tell me he's done!

That lion looks tinier all the time!

We sure love this laugh!

He doesn't hold back!

Such a silly boy :)

This is all he wants to do these days!

He's ready to run!

Such a cheesy guy!

He's a drooler

He loves to blow bubbles!

His little crossed ankles are so cute!

Such a happy baby!

WHOAH! :)

just hanging out

Still loves grabbing those toes

He pulls his ears now out of habit--making sure they're still there

"Oh, forgot you were there!"

"YES!" --It's almost like Arsenio used to do...

Some things never change! Every month is the same now---we can NOT believe that Johnny is another month older! Every stage continues to be so fun and we are loving this little man so much and can't imagine life without him!

Likes:
His walker-mostly chasing Lilo everywhere he can in it, as well as his "Catch Me Kitty"--thanks Poteets! (And yes, I know walkers can be unsafe! We have no stairs and we watch him closely and he's contained to the hardwood floors since it can't go on the carpet, so he's ok)
His jumper--still not bored of that yet! He jumps and wiggles that thing all around these days!
Cruising--he has made a lot of trips around the couch and it's all he wants to do, despite all his falls!
Standing and taking a few steps on his own!
Eating--this has been a constant :) He's now discovered the joys of froyo, and if he sees us eating it he gets REALLY mad if we don't share! (We only have ourselves to blame!)
His ball poppers and My Pal Scout
His car (steering wheel and shifter with lots of fun sounds)

Doesn't Care For:
Being in his high chair when he's decided he's done eating
tummy time--although he's better at it now, and has mastered crawling backwards, he would prefer to stand at all times

His newest activities are chatting more and more, crawling backwards, wiggling his hand in front of his face and on his mouth to make different noises, and just being darn cute! He can hold his own bottle now and loves feeding himself, usually putting everything in sight in his mouth at once, but is darn cute when he does it. He is a wiggle worm and wants to move always and not sit still, especially at church. He loves to hold onto the back of the pew and walk between us on the bench. He can now slide off the couch by rolling onto his tummy and scooting backwards til his legs hit the floor. He makes new friends everywhere he goes and that's still one of my favorite unexpected surprises of having a baby--the world seems a little warmer with a sweet little one as strangers just smile kindly at him and say sweet things. :)

8 Months!

Here's our precious Johnny at 8 months! Some of these are a little blurry, but he's still so cute I couldn't resist. :)

He really loves his Scout!

Hey Mom!

There's my smiley guy :)

He's calculating his next move

He sits pretty well these days

In case you weren't sure, he's giving Scout a bite kiss to show his love :)

Johnny is growing so fast! 2011 really flew by and it's hard to believe that we're in 2012 already, and even harder to believe that Johnny is so big, with the big ONE not that far away! He's still such an incredibly happy baby and aside from a little fussiness with teething and sleep getting thrown off when traveling, he's a pretty easy-going guy and we know we're so lucky!

Here's what he's doing these days:
Babbling (ma and ba are his favorites--often sounds like BOB BOB BOB!)
Sitting really well--leans and grabs things and falls over when he wants something that tips him all the way over!
Loves grabbing his toes and sucking on them. He's a classy guy!
Loves his jumper, My Pal Scout, ball poppers, piano, car, and LILO, who does not share his feeling and is learning to stay just out of reach
Started blowing raspberries--so hilarious!
Imitates Daddy's growl
Laughs at himself, us, Lilo, his toys, and so many other things
Does a shy look away/buries his face in our shoulders when new people say Hi to him
Loves the mirror and giving Mirror Johnny lots of wet kisses
Loves walking in his Juppy
Stands holding onto things and is almost cruising
No interest in crawling yet--not rocking, tolerates tummy time a little more
Still a very good eater, likes fruit much more than veggies, but eats a good variety
Loves yogurt melts and puffs
Has tried bread and is not too sure
Did NOT like refried beans when Papa shared them

Bob is really loving staying home and enjoying all his time with Johnny and I'm enjoying every minute I get with them both! We're grateful we have the time we do to spend with him and each other and so grateful to have such an amazingly sweet perfect little guy! We love each stage more than the last and are just trying to soak it up as time flies by!

7 Months

My sweet baby Johnny just grows and grows! 7 months was a fun time, as has been really every stage with this great little guy!

At 7 months he was:
Sitting by himself better every day
Starting to push up on his arms but still not a huge fan of tummy time
Eating lots of new foods and loving just about all of them
Still loving grabbing his toes and sucking them at every chance he gets
Loving bathtime more all the time
Loving his Exersaucer and figuring out more aspects of it each day
Laughing and smiling all the time
Generally such a happy guy
LOVES Scout, his triangle, and his poppers

He also got to see Christmas lights at Temple Square, Zoolights, and at home in Coeur d'Alene on the boardwalk and loved them all! He met Santa at the ward Christmas party and wasn't afraid and smiled like a champ. :) He's such an easygoing guy who really enjoyed his 7th month, which even included his first Christmas! He loved crinkling the wrapping paper and got spoiled so much by all his aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents!

Doing better with tummy time!

So cute grabbing his toes!

So proud of his sitting skills!

He makes that lion look smaller every month now :)

This one's super-blurry but such a great smile!

How could you not love this little face?!

Whoah!

More proud toe-grabbing

I'm still behind, but soon I'll put the 8 and 9 month pics up :)

Hope you're all doing well! We're loving every minute with this little guy and all the cliche's are definitely true--time has really flown by and it's so hard to believe he's 9 months already!
